The service catalog helps users to track their service requests, understand the approval status and know the wait time for service delivery. Adding value to the Asset Management module, ServiceDesk Plus 8 also includes agent based scanning. Users logging into Desktop Central client are now authenticated via Windows Active Directory. The users are internally mapped to their domain user accounts, which makes them to use their domain logon name and password to login to Desktop Central.
